EDITABLE CONCERT POSTER (8.5X11)

The Ronley is quite a peculiar creature. She
descends from a rare tribe of sexy eclectic musical
storytellers. Ronley's music combines unique sometimes-satirical
vocals and witty lyrics within a "syncretic"
mish mash of musical styles crossing: Roots, Blues,
World, Rock and Electronic. Her music as of late
has been compared to artists including Tom Waits,
Kate Bush, PJ Harvey, Ute Lemper, Lhasa, Macy
Gray with the garnish of the girlishness of Ricky
Lee Jones.
The Band:
Ronley performs as a solo artist, duo,
trio, quartet, and quintet. Every show is different.
Whether solo or band, the music ranges from grassroots
to fractions of world and jazz improvisation

Even more Information:
Ronley was born in South Africa, and grew up in
Toronto, Canada. She has performed in folk, electronic
and pop-rock bands She has traveled and toured
extensively throughout parts of the Middle East,
New England, California, Canada and in the fall
parts of Europe. She sings in English and in Hebrew.
These influences alongside her uniquely Ronley
dish of singing and songwriting based on literatures
use of a Character’s “Point of View”
take charge as storytellers

The One and Ronley
"Canadian Indie-singer/songwriter Ronley
Teper has a unique sound that defies comparison
with anyone… just saying
she’s got some freaky stuff happening melodically
and sings like a wild thing, doesn’t really
prepare you for what you are about to hear”.
Calgary Herald’s
Swerve Magazine By Kathryn Nikolaychuk June 2006.
Ronley Teper listens to the voices in her head
“The freakish but captivating Teper seems
born to entertain”.
“The Toronto based poet songwriter, and
performance artist is rooted in folk music, funk,
and Hebrew song: it’s
an outre brew but one that certainly works for
her”...
Georgia Straight, Vancouver Weekly Vol.40 #2007
June 8-15, 2006.

“Over the last few years I have gotten
to know Ronley Teper as a wonderful person and
dedicated singer/songwriter I have had the opportunity
to see her perform, and have been keeping a close
eye on her musical developments. I truly believe
that it is just a matter of time and perseverance
before Ronley is noticed on a much bigger level."
Scott
Morin Director of Jazz Universal Music Canada

"Please don't mistake her sweetness for
meekness. Ronley Teper, brings the stripped down
power in her songwriting to the forefront. Soft,
story filled lullabies pour from her strong,
slightly restrained voice. Teper reminds me of
a less baby-doll Rickie Lee Jones. She sounds
more genuine than most chicks on the acoustic-female
circuit"
